In case you’ve been in a cave (or this is the first destination you have in terms of mainstream media ), Harriet Miers has withdrawn her nomination to the Supreme Court. It’s not surprising. I’ve never heard of anyone who’s had to revise the questionnaire before. Yowsa.

Man, it must suck to be George W. these days. With his top adviser possibly facing an indictment tomorrow, his Supreme Court nominee stepping back, the Iraq situation not improving markedly, and not to mention the fact that a great deal of his base seems to be turning against him…man, who would have thought he’d be a lame duck so soon into his second term? Ouch.

I’m struggling with ideas for Halloween costumes, and I’d like to pose the question to my readership, however numerous they may be:

What should I be for Halloween?

I’m all ears.

Doesn’t Iran’s government know what happened in the country next door could happen to them, too? I guess the better question is, do they care?

I was really hoping for more of a Series this year than another four-game sweep, but oh well. Congrats to Ozzie Guillen and the White Sox, they put together one hell of a run this year.

I didn’t get to watch it. I really need a TV tuner card or a filter that blocks Sex and the City DVDs from playing…
