Harriet Miers is out

In case you’ve been in a cave (or this is the first destination you have in terms of mainstream media :P), Harriet Miers has withdrawn her nomination to the Supreme Court. It’s not surprising. I’ve never heard of anyone who’s had to revise the questionnaire before. Yowsa.

Her “blog” covers this quite nicely. :P

Man, it must suck to be George W. these days. With his top adviser possibly facing an indictment tomorrow, his Supreme Court nominee stepping back, the Iraq situation not improving markedly, and not to mention the fact that a great deal of his base seems to be turning against him…man, who would have thought he’d be a lame duck so soon into his second term? Ouch.

White Sox win the Series.

I was really hoping for more of a Series this year than another four-game sweep, but oh well. Congrats to Ozzie Guillen and the White Sox, they put together one hell of a run this year.

I didn’t get to watch it. I really need a TV tuner card or a filter that blocks Sex and the City DVDs from playing…
