Bush says “Shit” and the media makes it the lead headline?

So a conversation between Tony Blair and President Bush was captured today, during which the President said the following:

See the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it’s over.

This is all over the news. CNN’s lead story right now is his slipup. It’s like freaking elementary school all over again — “oooooh! Georgie said a BAD WORD!” Look, I’m a big fan of Bushisms (even have a Bush Quote-o-Matic on my Google homepage), but this is ridiculous. Who freakin’ cares? There’s several wars going on, people are starving and the lead story in the media right now — on multiple continents, no less — is that the President said the word shit to Tony Blair in an off-the-cuff conversation between two world leaders? Give me a freaking break. This is, at its very best, a reach. If he had said it during an address, then I understand the coverage. This was a personal conversation — there’s no need for all this hoopla.
