The winds are shifting…

The consensus from the Lowcountry weather stations is that the winds have begun to shift to more of a northeast flow now. This is pretty consistent with the radar presentation, where we can find Ernesto’s broad center of circulation, highlighted just for you…

Check out this big, thick band of really squally weather about to move through. When this starts, conditions will generally go downhill and continue to go downhill, I believe, until around 5PM.

This band is radar estimated to be dumping just under an inch of rain per hour. Ponding is starting on my street, but we’re not quite at the point where things are flooding yet.
