It’s a fantastic day in San Diego: Trevor Hoffman got Save No. 479 today in San Diego, capping off an all-important 2-1 victory for San Diego over Pittsburgh. Many congratulations to him and to the Padres — he got the record, and the Padres maintained their 1 1/2 game lead over the Dodgers. Today would only have been better for them had the Diamondbacks defeated the Dodgers.

Discussion of Trevor (All-)Time Saves Leader is now closed
As you know, I’m not a big sports fan. But I always liked Trevor Hoffman. It was always fun to go to a Padres game and hear his “Hell’s Bells” intro that they play in the stadium when he is called in.

The Trevor Time phenomenon is what got me into AC/DC.
What’s so great about “Trevor Time” is that even the casual, non-hardcores really get into it. There’s nothing like it anywhere else in sports.
