Midterm hell…

The Blog and the rest of JaredWSmith.com, for that matter, will see a bit less in the way of regular work in the next two weeks, as my midterm hell has finally arrived. It came a bit late this year, but not without full force. Here’s the scoop:

Wednesday is my meteorology midterm. I don’t foresee too many problems with that one — the class has been fairly straightforward and I’m learning a lot in there.

The following week, I have exams on Tuesday and Wednesday in Comm Theory and Biology respectively. Back to back tests are always <sarcasm>fantastic</sarcasm>.

All during this time I’ve got a speech to work on as well as a fairly in-depth paper. Fun times these days. But yes, this is what’s happening in my life, so please pardon me if I’m not around much. There are plenty of others to read in my possible absence. ;)

  • My daughter is experiencing her first college mid-terms and freaking out. She texted me the other day to say she would be flunking out of college in about 4 minutes. I didn’t think any amount of encouragement would help so I didn’t even try. Turned out she passed her Geology mid-term and can save the freaking out for something else. I would love to go back to the time when failing a test was the end of life as I knew it. I don’t mean to belittle the stress, I guess I’m just jealous. As hard as life is for her (and you) right now, enjoy the practice. As far as you not being around for a while, the speach should be a peice of cake for you. As long as you can speak english, you should be ok. You seem to have no trouble expressing yourself. Have fun w/ all this, don’t freak and enjoy the ride.
