There was quite a scare this afternoon in Manhattan when a small aircraft crashed into a high-rise in Manhattan. The good news is that it does not appear to be terrorism, according to Homeland Security. An eyewitness saw the plane banking steeply, and it’s quite probable there were mechanical problems aboard. Apparently there’s been a couple fatalities, unfortunately.
UPDATE: ESPN is reporting Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle, acquired in a deadline deal from the Phillies this year, was the pilot of the plane and was killed in the crash.
Other than that, a slow news day. Did my meteorology midterm — I think I got a B. Not bad. It was fairly intense. The next midterm is Monday. We’ll see how that goes.
Peace folks…
