It appears, barring a late-second Democratic collapse, that the House of Representatives will have a brighter shade of blue next January, as it is projected the Democrats will take the House. Divided government is back, and this will be a good thing for our country — it’ll force some more compromise, at least theoretically.
One quick note before I head out: The big winners tonight are, for the most part, centrists and moderates (Sen. Chafee a notable exception). Centrists and moderates took the House back for the Democrats, not the far-left wing of the party. Good food for thought…
