So I was happily sleeping this morning until about 10:30 or so, when I heard a pop, an alarm, and then silence. My main PC’s been on a fairly flaky outlet for a while, and today was the last straw. After the outage, I immediately began moving things around, and before you know it, my room’s been rearranged. The bed is now where the computer used to be, and vice versa. This will actually prove to be better, too, as the little wave in the floor (hey, it’s Downtown, what do you expect
) more favors the computer where it is now.
It’s not exactly what I had in mind for today, but I guess it was best to not prolong the inevitable.
I caught the news earlier today on CNN about President Ford’s passing. I wasn’t around when he took over for Nixon at the height of Watergate, but I did catch C-SPAN replaying his speeches today — I think a lot of our politicians could learn a few things about straight talk from him. Rest in peace, Mr. President.
