So yesterday was April Fool’s Day. Being on a Sunday, the response is really muted and just limited to a few people. I get a kick out of it, and promptly scared my mother by telling her that I was reconciling with my ex-girlfriend. LOL. I couldn’t get my dad or brother, though. Sigh.
April Fool’s ravaged the Internet(s) as per usual. Slashdot had their usual spate of April Fool’s stories, while Google pushed broadband over plumbing. I helped Patrick orchestrate two great jokes; one of them, a “Guest Admin Access Hack” for phpBB that theoretically permitted any guest to log into anyone’s phpBB; and another one, phpBB3M0ds.com. A lot of people fell for that one, despite the l33t speak in the domain name. :P I helped him with the graphics and the like during the day Saturday. It was quite elaborate, and he let the cat out of the bag this morning.
It was a fun day. I can’t wait for next year, when it lands on a Tuesday, right smack dab in the middle of a work week. Bwhaha.

lol, nice one on your mother. I was away from a PC for much of the day, so no one really got me, but outside of the web, I didn’t really get anyone. I had to get my 8 year old brother who doesn’t really keep tracks of days yet. He quickly got hip, though. :)
